Meet the Team
Christopher Kinzie
Christopher Kinzie, co-owner of Artisan Appraisal Group, Inc., brings extensive expertise as a state-certified Real Estate Appraiser in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, along with certification as a Machinery & Equipment Appraiser. In his role as co-owner and senior appraiser, Chris spearheads quality control reviews for real estate appraisals and specializes in developing machinery & equipment appraisals for the company.
Chris launched his appraisal career in 2002, focusing initially in the Boston area and surrounding counties. His leadership journey took him to California in 2004, where he managed the western operations of a prominent national appraisal firm as Vice President. In this role, he oversaw business management across several states including California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah, with responsibilities spanning quality control and business development.
In 2007, Chris co-founded Present Value LLC, a leading national appraisal company specializing in business appraisals, machinery & equipment appraisal, and inventory services across diverse commercial industries and international markets. The company's success led to its acquisition by EquipNet, Inc. in 2011, where Chris assumed the role of Director of Appraisal and Valuation Services, managing global operations. His expertise encompassed corporate valuation services for purchase price allocation, financial reporting, taxation abatement, asset-based lending, legal disputes, and more.
Chris earned dual business majors in Finance and Small Business Management from Northeastern University in 1999 and holds certifications as a Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser (CMEA) and Certified Senior Business Analyst (CSBA) from the NEBB Institute. He is an active member of the American Society of Appraisers and the Appraisal Institute, reflecting his ongoing commitment to professional excellence and industry leadership.
Kim Kinzie
Kim Kinzie brings a wealth of diverse experience to Artisan Appraisal Group, Inc. as co-owner and operations manager. With a background that spans law and appraisal, Kim began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in Massachusetts before transitioning into legislative advocacy and training for the Massachusetts District Attorney’s Association. Her journey led her to California where she pivoted into the appraisal industry, eventually managing day-to-day operations and conducting review work.
Kim's commitment to community service and education is evident from her tenure as a program manager at the San Diego Police Foundation, where she developed workshops on internet safety, to her role assisting constituents as part of U.S. Senator Jack Reed's team. Drawing on her legal expertise, Kim returned to the appraisal field and co-founded Artisan Appraisal Group, Inc. with her husband Chris.
In March 2024, Kim achieved her Certified Residential Appraiser license, integrating her legal acumen into meticulous appraisal research and report writing. A magna cum laude graduate of Bentley College with a degree in Economics and Behavioral Sciences, Kim continued her academic success at Suffolk Law School, graduating cum laude.

Kim resides in East Greenwich with Chris, her husband and business partner, along with their two sons, embodying a commitment to family, community, and excellence in every aspect of her professional journey.
